Strategy consultant for the establishment of the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation, Ms. Ingber now serves as founding President and CEO. She has also provided management consulting services for The Children’s Dental Center of Greater Los Angeles. Prior to working in the field of dentistry, Ms. Ingber served as President of the Cancer Treatment Research Foundation; Senior Vice President for Strategic Development for Cancer Treatment Centers of America; Executive Vice President for the National Health Museum in Washington DC; primary consultant in the development and implementation of the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Network and several pilot Prostate Cancer initiatives; founding General Manager of the National Marrow Donor Program; Director of the Department of Defense National Marrow Donor Center; and assisted several other non-profit and for-profit organizations in the development of health and education programs and products.

Dr. Slayton is Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Iowa. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa. She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry and a PhD in Genetics from the University of Iowa in 1998. She is a board certified Pediatric Dentist and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She serves on the Council for Scientific Affairs and the Scientific Program Committee of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Section on Oral Health for the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also serves as an examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Slayton is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the American Association of Dental Research, the American Dental Association and the American Dental Education Association. Her research focuses on caries risk assessment tools and genetic factors that contribute to dental caries susceptibility.
