NCOHF is committed to providing dental health education resources and programs to those who can reach underserved children and youth. We firmly believe in the power of prevention and its impact on children’s dental health and wellness. We know prevention programs facilitate more knowledge, which can bring about behavioral change. We also hope to increase the oral health literacy of children and youth, as well as their parents/caregivers, ensuring they make better decisions related to their own dental health and overall wellness.
NCOHF has combined many of its prevention and education programs under the umbrella of the Oral Health Education Program (OHEP). This program is designed to assist individuals, groups and organizations in increasing oral health literacy, and in some cases, access to care.
