Introducing the Esther Wilkins International Education Program

Dr. Esther Wilkins and NCOHF have launched a historic movement to rescue children worldwide from preventable pediatric dental disease.

The Esther Wilkins International Education Program provides dental hygienists, the prevention specialists, with smile-saving educational tools for outreach activities and supports their role as oral health champions, leaders and educators within their communities.

You are the prevention expert. As members of the Esther Wilkins International Education Program, dental hygiene professionals and students can truly break the cycle of pediatric dental disease. Member donations will be used for the dissemination of valuable oral health education and preventive strategies to at-risk children!

National Children’s Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF) Preventive Education Kit

In order to meet program objectives and receive the NCOHF Preventive Education Kit, volunteers agree to:

*Conduct a minimum of four community educational activities annually
*Submit report detailing the location and number of participants for each activity
*Provide photos and personal testimonials about your experience
*Provide testimonials from parents, caregivers and educators when possible

The NCOHF Preventive Education Kit is a valuable aid in raising awareness and improving oral health literacy in outreach activities within your community. Kit content covers basic preventive strategies and nutrition appropriate for prenatal through young adult learning levels.

The NCOHF Preventive Education Kit includes:
– Magnetic tooth board with magnet pieces
– Large toothbrush for toothbrushing demonstration
– CD with Toothbrushing and Handwashing songs

3 basic lessons and corresponding worksheets
– Preventing Germ Transmision
– Toothfriendly Snacks / Nutrition
– Toothbrushing / Flossing Demonstration
