The ToothFairy 101® Community Education Kit is a comprehensive oral health curriculum. It provides hands-on learning for children and youth (ages 4 and up), as well as adults/caregivers. The Kit provides 12 scripted bilingual lessons appropriate for classrooms, daycare centers, after-school programs, and even locations where adults are receiving services who may benefit from understanding how oral health impacts overall health.
The ToothFairy 101 Community Education Kit includes a double-sided magnetic display board, magnets, and giant toothbrush. Kit users also receive access to the ToothFairy 101 Online Portal with downloadable activity sheets, a 12-lesson bilingual curriculum, and other free resources and tools. The Kit does NOT contain toothbrushes or other dental care supplies.
Using the ToothFairy 101 Community Education Kit
The Kit is designed to equip anyone interacting with children, youth, and parents/caregivers with an easy-to-use tool for oral health education. You do not have to have an oral health education background to use the Kit, and it does not require in-person training. Once shipped, you will receive an email from NCOHF providing you with access to an online portal which includes 12 scripted lessons for download, plus a set of additional materials to use with and without your Kit.
Apply for a ToothFairy 101 Community Education Kit
Individuals and organizations meeting the criteria below may apply for a free ToothFairy 101 Community Education Kit.
- Affiliated with a public health organization, school, community group, youth-serving organization or are a pre-dental/hygiene/assisting student. For example, you may be a school health educator, church youth leader, public health professional, educator, etc.
- You have the potential to reach at least 250 children/youth/parent/caregivers per year using the Kit.
- You agree to collect matched pre- and post-tests on at least 70% of the children/youth reached with the Kit.
