Taking a Swing at Tooth Decay with the Arkansas Travelers

In partnership with Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation, the Arkansas Dental Hygienists’ Association, the Arkansas Oral Health Coalition and Flyway Brewery, the Arkansas Travelers hosted an America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive during their September 2 home game.

Fans donated toothbrushes, toothpaste and other oral care products to support the effort. Volunteer dental hygiene students collected oral care products from the fans, children had their photos taken with the ToothFairy and fans won prizes donated by local companies and dental organizations. All of the products collected were donated to Harmony Health Clinic, which serves the health and wellness needs of the medically uninsured and underserved in Central Arkansas.

Jill Malmgren, Executive Director of America’s ToothFairy, threw out the first pitch and highlighted the importance of oral health during a radio interview with Steven Davis. A big thank you to the Arkansas Travelers and their fans for helping us take a swing at tooth decay!
